something's wrong.

I'll try to make this post short, considering my last one was as long as a short novel.
Last night I went with a few other people to feed the homeless in downtown and OB; for some reason we could not find too many people, and even the ones we did, we (for various reasons) weren't really able to conversate with. We weren't discouraged though because we knew regardless of the lack of Gospel being preached, there was still service going on- as unto Jesus (Matt 25:40).

However, towards the end of the night we did meet some guys in OB who we were able to talk to. Again, long story short, I was able to talk one on one with one of the guys who was probably not much older than me. He said he was raised in a devout Christian home and he knew what was up with religion and God and faith and so on, but he no longer believed in Jesus. When I asked him what turned him off from the Christian faith he said- christians
. I wasn't surprised, but I was very discouraged. Obviously, not everyone who claims to be a Christian actually lives their life like they believe in a Holy Creator- but what about those of us that do? People who will persecute us and people who will not believe in God because they require a sign and people who will profess to be wise and become fools, are ALL prophesied about in scripture- but what about people who don't believe in God because of actual believers (Aside, of course, from people who are simply offended by the truth and so blame it on the messenger). I understand that it is ultimately a heart issue, but something is wrong when people refuse to believe in a merciful, holy, loving, sovereign God because people who are professing to serve Him are simply being bad representatives.
There is a lot more to be said on this issue but I will leave it at this.

John 13:35
" By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another"
(WE, as christians, need to love each other.stop fighting, stop gossiping, stop lying, stop being selfish- and love each other so much that people question why.)

Matt 5:16
"
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."
(OUR works should be those that cause people to praise God for it, not hate Him.)

My prayer is that my light would shine so brightly that no one would ever blame their hatred for God on my representation of Him.
